Glen George THOMSON

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Glen George Thomson, age 62 years, on November 13, 2025 after a very short illness.

Glen will be deeply mourned and forever missed by his children Kelsey (Julia), Caley and Skye, his grandson Lync, sisters, Nola, and Gale, many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, numerous friends and the mother of his children Maxine.

Glenn was predeceased by his parents Robert (1997) and Leona (1971), his brothers Neil (2010) and Darby (1979), sister Cindy (1965), his niece Shauna (2017) and his brother-in-law Ken (2011).

Glen was born on February 15, 1963, at home just west of Westlock, Alberta. He went to school in Jarvie, Alberta and Gibbons, Alberta. Glen was a loving father (he lived for his children), a caring and kind person, a fabulous little brother and a loyal friend. He loved spending time on the farm, keeping the grass cut, and doing the million little things that needed to be done.

Glen spent most of his life working for the City of Edmonton. First with Parks and Recreation, then with Roadways. While working in the city and living in Gibbons, he made many lifelong friendships.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. A private family interment will be held at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Linaria, Alberta.
