Matthew Douglas TRUDEL
We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Matthew Douglas Trudel on June 29, 2023, at the young age of 33 years.
Matthew was born and raised in Edmonton, the eldest of two children. He was a kind-hearted soul that touched the lives of many and will be remembered as a loyal friend, a music lover, and a creative and curious young man who could light up a room with his infectious smile and laughter. While his journey on this plane ended prematurely, we are confident he is soaring with angels and his legacy will be to remind us all to cherish this gift we call life and seek light over darkness.
Matt will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
“And it seems to me, you lived your life like a candle in the wind…never knowing who to cling to when the rain set in. I would have liked to know you, but you were just a kid…your candle burned out long before, your legend ever did.”
A Celebration of Matt’s life will be held on Monday, July 17th at Slovenian Community Hall, 16703 – 66 Street, Edmonton at 2:00 PM.
Go rest high on the mountain Matt, the pain is over. Heaven must be proud to welcome you home. Strength to those you had to leave behind.
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear brother. May his journey back to the Stars be gentle and swift.
Much healing love to you and your family.
Hugs from your neighbours,
Karen and Jerry

Oh Matt-choo! How so very missed you are!! It breaks my heart going to Karis and not seeing your face when I walk in the door anymore! We always had such great laughs when we hung out to the point I felt like puking from the stomach pains!!! Your smile was always a bright one and your presence always lifted everyones mood. You left some serious broken hearts the day you left…….I hope one day we will reunite!!! You were our best friend in our group of 3 and I know your always with Kari and showing us signs that you’re with us. Keep doing it cause it brings a sense of ease knowing your around. Love you lots my friend. Til we meet again……rest easy. 💖
