Garry was born in Deloraine, Manitoba and he was raised in Medora, Manitoba until he was 39 years old. He moved to Edmonton in 1998 where he lived the rest of his life. He spent the last five years of his life in St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Garry was a hard worker and enjoyed working on the farm the most.
