It is with great sadness that we the family of Hendrik Leonard Van Der Zouwen announce his passing on February 11, 2022 at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute with the University of Alberta Hospital.

His wife Karla and son Wes would like to thank all the Staff at the Malone Clinic in Drayton Valley, Special thanks to Dr. Michael Peyton, The Mazankowsi Heart Institute, The Aberhart Centre in Edmonton with Special Thanks to Olivia his dialysis nurse and Tamara his dietician.
The Family wishes to hold a Celebration of Life in the spring, details to be announced. There will be no formal funeral service, but his memories and stories continue to be told and treasured in your hearts as family and friends.

He died that day because his body had served its purpose .His soul had done what it came to do, learned what it came to learn ,and then was free to leave .
I know for certain we never loose the people we love ,even to death.
