Margaret-Jean VEALE
On March 22, 2024, Jean passed away at the age of 67 years.
Mom was full of life. She loved singing and dancing and painting and quilting. She always wanted to help people. She worked as an office manager for many years, had some university, and worked for Marine Harvest Canada before she retired.
She is survived by her husband Keith and two children, Colin Veale (wife Andrea – grandchildren Ada and Harvey) and Melanie Burneau (husband David – grandchildren Genevieve, Joshua and Johnathon)
She is also lovingly remembered by her mother Margaret, her brother Joe and his wife Margie; and sister Kathleen.
Jean will be greatly missed by her best friend Sharon.
Her best memories were going to Disneyland with her children, travelling to Mexico with her husband Keith, and travelling to Norway for work.
She also loved her dog Harley, and he will surely miss her.

Momma Jean, you were always smiling, and so welcoming to me during a tough time in my life. I’m sure blessed to have known and loved you and your whole family. I will miss your smile and voice. Rest now momma Jean.
Rest in pease Sis you will be missed. Say hi to Dad,Bill and Anne.
Love always your little brother
Jean, you were a big help to us at Juthans Trucking in Courtenay. Your skills were appreciated and needed. We had a lot of laughs too. Thinking of you so fondly, Libby
It’s with great sadness that I have learned of Jean’s passing. Our lives crossed for a few years in the salmon farming industry. I hired Jean as a quality assurance assistant and as smart as she was she learned the ropes amazingly fast and soon would fly on her own. When the opportunity arose, she became the QA manager for the company, and in my opinion by far the best in this role on the west coast and probably beyond.
My thoughts go to Jean’s family and particularly to Keith. Some people leave too early. No doubt that wherever and with whomever she now is, she’ll keep them in check, in her own special charming way.
I have many fond memories of Jean when I was at their house in Comox. Always remember her smile. She was a great friend to my mum. Sincerest condolences to the family.
