Phillip David WAGNER

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Phillip David Wagner, a cherished member of our community. Phillip tragically lost his life on January 17, 2025 at the age of 26, after a long and courageous battle against addiction and mental health challenges.

Born on May 28, 1998, Phillip faced a difficult upbringing in the foster care system. Although his connection with his biological family was limited, he found solace in the strong bond he shared with his brothers, Michael and Bunny. Despite the adversity he faced, Phillip touched the lives of those around him with his strength, resilience, and unwavering hope.

As a young man, Phillip experienced homelessness while simultaneously navigating the complexities of addiction and mental health issues. Through these challenges, he maintained a close relationship with his brothers, who were a constant source of love and support.

Phillip will be remembered for his determination and commitment to raising awareness about the importance of understanding, empathy, and support for those facing addiction, mental health challenges, and homelessness. His bravery in sharing his story will continue to inspire us all.

In honor of Phillip’s life, we encourage you to practice empathy, cherish your loved ones, and support organizations that provide resources to vulnerable communities.

He is survived by his loving brothers, Michael and Bunny, who will continue to cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10014-81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, for those who wish to pay their respects and share memories of Phillip.
