On June 17, 2021, Garry Steven Wertypora of Edmonton passed away at the age of 73 years.​

Garry is survived by two children: Steve Wertypora (Nicole Baron), David Nelson (Meghan Trupp), grandchildren: Eddie and Thomas Wertypora, Jacob Otsig, Connor and Logan Nelson.

​Garry is also remembered by his sister Shirley (Bob), brother Ken, brother Wayne (Joan), sister Lorna, 

Sister Rhonda (Vicki), and sister Jodi. Garry was predeceased by his parents Steven and Anne, brother Tony, sister Vicky, and sister Beverly.​

Garry was a truck driver for most of his adult career. He also spent a lot of time on various farms and ranches all around Alberta. He enjoyed fishing and ice fishing at various lakes around Alberta.
