Jeanny (Jeanette) Wilson

December 1956 – December 2023

Jeanny (Jeanette) Wilson, born December 1956 in Barrhead, AB, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. The youngest daughter of Georgina & Monty Rose, Jeanny was a beloved sister, daughter, mother, nana & friend. 

A resilient cancer survivor for 27 years, Jeanny’s enduring spirit & determination were an inspiration. She leaves behind a legacy of love & care, both in her personal life & through her 40-year career at the University of Alberta Hospital, where she played a pivotal role in the pet therapy program & volunteer resources.
Known for her bright spirit, wisdom, quirky personality, & loving nature, Jeanny’s presence brought joy & warmth to all who knew her. Her impact on those around her was profound & her absence will be deeply felt.

Jeanny is survived by her daughters, Jeannine Wilson (Kyle Snodgrass) & Chantalle Wilson; son, Dustin Plaizier (Laurice Jabbour); grand children, Theo Snodgrass, Jacob Plaizier & Meme Jabbour; sisters, Judy Caney, Elsie Wilson, & Linda Allan; and ever-supportive Gerry Wilson. Along with many other wonderful friends & family members, who also cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Worobec.
