Blaine Lee WEBB
Blaine Lee Webb, 72, passed away on October 31, 2021. Blaine had been seriously ill for the last year of his life. He fought the good battle before succumbing to his illness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.
Blaine was born in Barrhead, Alberta on June 25, 1949. After completing school in Barrhead he moved to Edmonton, Alberta as a young adult. He resided there for the rest of his life and worked in a number of careers while he continued to pursue his first love, music. His virtuosity on his beloved Fender Telecaster Custom guitar was frequently on display in a number of groups he played with in the Edmonton area over the years.
Blaine was preceded in death by his mother, Muriel (nèe Holdstead), and father Stanley and his brothers, Mervin and Arnold and his nephew Stuart Webb.
Blaine is survived by his sister-in-law Vera Webb, nephews Lloyd Webb (Teresa), Bruce Webb (Marg), Stuart’s widow Donna Webb, nieces Cheryl Lint (Chris), Janet Webb, Diane Oertel (Andreas) and many cousins.
A private graveside service was conducted.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Capital Care Dickinsfield who cared for Blaine during the last year of his life and made him comfortable in his final days.

My deepest condolences in the loss of Blaine however his pain and suffering are over. I enjoyed working and knowing him through the insurance business and he achieved everything he wanted to in the insurance business before he retired as Marketing Manager for a Company who he said he wanted to still work with the “Big Boys” in the business and this he indeed accomplished.

I used to be a neighbour of Blaine’s I’d known him for nearly 40 years. We went the downtown pubs, played music together and were both in the insurance business on and off – more off for me than him. We had the same taste in books; sci fi mostly. I lost track of him when my daughter came along but we reconnected when we were both working downtown Edmonton, he in commercial insurance and I was a corporate currency trader. Then the company he was working for moved to the west end and I lost track of him again contacted another acquaintance to get his number and was told the bad news. He was a good man and a good friend – he is missed.
